You are an amazing person and an incredible sister. You are so much more to those around you than you could ever imagine, and you are appreciated and loved deeply for who you are.

The world is a better place because you are here, those of us who have the honour to be part of your life are truly blessed.

Well lately I have times when I am walking on eggshells around my husband when it comes to talking about our grandchild Sam and some people have told me that I am a good egg.

April 7th is National Beer Day...are you a beer drinker? If so do you have a favorite? Beer battered fish, beer bread, beer can chicken, beer brats...which one sounds good to you? Have you made any of these? 

I do not like beer, I do like beer batter chips though

Do you have siblings? What's the best thing about being your sibling? If you don't have siblings, what would you say are the pros and cons of being an only child? 

Year I have four siblings, when it comes to what’s the best thing about being my sibling, I have no idea.

Just another run of the mill month

Are you afraid of heights? When was the last time you found yourself dealing with a height, and did it make you nervous?

I am terrified of open heights, eclosed heights don’t both me as much, been a while since I have had to deal with heights.

What's a word you struggle to spell on a regular basis, and sometimes need to double check before writing it down? Use the word in a sentence that tells us something about your April calendar. 

The word that comes to mind is apology I had to look it up in the dictionary before I wrote the damn word. I will offer an apology for my slackness during April.

Love 'em or hate 'em, with Easter comes the sweet treat known as Peeps. So... do you love 'em or hate 'em? Speaking of peeps, what's your favorite way to have chicken? 

Had to think for a bit about what Peeps are, then it came to me before I turned to Google, they are not something we see much in the shops down here. The best way to eat chicken is roasted with roast or baked vegetables and gravy.

This week's Hodgepodge lands on the first day of April, which happens to be National Poetry Month. Do you like poetry?  Share a favorite line or two from one of your favorite poems. What makes this one a favorite? 

Once I would have said I had no interest in poetry but the last few years that has changed when it comes to a line from a poem it would have to be, “there was movement at the station”

Well since I have had the air con going on many days  I would say nope doesn’t feel like autumn yet.

Welcome back to another Tuesday 4 in honour of Toni Taddeo it's founder.

They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.  

March 29-31 are the "borrowing days" when weather is traditionally rough or stormy and the month was named for Mars the god of war because March was the time for the start of wars.

What brings out the lion in you? What brings out the lamb?

The lion comes out when I feel protective of my family, being around people I don’t know turns me into a lamb.

What are you enjoying in terms of TV, movies or books right now?

Listening to Dawn French book The Twat Files, so funny, haven’t seen a movie in years and don’t watch much on TV either. I do like Tipping Point Australia and Outback Truckers and have a season of Call the Midwife recorded but have to be in the right mood to watch.

It's Spring now... are you happy to see it come?  Will you be going out more?

Here it is Autumn and I am looking forward to cooler weather

Forward, not back I live in the here and now and don’t think much about what might happen. I am concerned about what the future may hold when it comes to this damn war an orange started as I do not want to see people being sent off to fight and possible die.

My answers

I had to think about this question trying to remember when it would had been and I think it would have been back in 2015 after a bad storm, I think we were without power for a couple of days.

After thinking about this I decided that the answer is nothing I am not waiting for anything.

Random stuff that comes to mind from time to time like things that happened when I was a child.

My wedding day, if I could do it again I wouldn’t be so nervous and think I would enjoy myself more.

St. Patrick's Day lands on March 17th. Do you believe in luck? Are there things you do thinking they’ll bring good luck or things you avoid because they're considered bad luck? 

I do believe luck plays a role in our lives; however, I do not do things to bring on good luck, nor do I avoid things because some thing it may be bad luck.

Forest-lime-sage-mint-olive-emerald...what's your favorite shade of green? 

I do like the shade that these answers are written in, I don’t have any idea what the different shades are all called.

In Ireland the meal on this day is often a hearty beef or lamb stew served with colcannon (mashed potato mixed with cabbage and leeks). In the US corned beef and cabbage is the more  with one of these dishes? Baked-fried-roasted-mashed...what's your favorite way to eat a potato?

I don’t celebrate the day, but I do like mashed potato as well as baked or roasted spuds.

What colour of the rainbow best represents your personality/mood today? Tell us why. 

I read this question and couldn’t remember the colours of the rainbow, had to Google it, anyway my colour for today is yellow because it is bright and cheery and that is how I have been feeling lately.

I read than I stopped and thought about these quotes and decided on Ben Franklin, why buggered if I know it just feels right.

What is luck? Is it something someone is born with allowing them to glide through life with effortless ease. Does it hide in the cracks where choices are made, showing itself at random times. Often it waits where effort has been waiting for the right time to walk through an unlocked door allowing persistence to win.

I do not think Luck is magic, though it feels that way it’s the meeting of readiness and timing.
