It's been said January is 'the month of opportunity,
inspiration, and change." Which of the three do you need most
right now? Elaborate.
Inspiration, always need some of
that, me and change are not good friends, I accept change, I just don’t long
for it.
Do you consider
opportunity as something that comes to you or something you create for
yourself?
A bit of both, sometimes it just pops up in front of you
other times you have to go looking for it or have to create it yourself.
The British Museum opened on this date (January 15th) back
in 1759. Do you like visiting museums? Do you have a favourite?
I love museums, I don’t have a
favourite
It's National Oatmeal Month (yes, apparently it gets a
whole month as opposed to a single day). Do you like oatmeal? How often do
you eat a bowl of oatmeal? How do you like yours? What about an oatmeal cookie?
Is that a sweet treat you enjoy?
I believe oatmeal is like porridge
and I like porridge in the winter months, not that keen on oatmeal cookies but
I do love Anzac biscuits.
What's something useful you learned in high school?
Can’t think of a single useful
thing I learnt in high school
Insert your own random thought here.
I have always said me and change
are not good friends and for the most part that is true I generally don’t like
change, however, often change happens without us being aware of it, our hair
loses its colour turning grey this is something we see happening but often don’t
take any notice of. Of course, not all
change is good nor is all change bad sometimes change is just different, when
we can accept that we will be less stressed and feel hopefully feel happier.
There are those subtle changes you mentioned that don’t bother me that much or gun changes like a new piece of furniture or changing around a room - the changes I always are unnerved by are, when they tear down the old rickity bridge only to replace it with one that doesn’t fit the area. Or new neighbors- at least my old neighbors I know what to expect. Those types of changes I don’t do well with.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers Jo-Anne and I’m like you with the HS question. Frankly I do even want to think about high school.
Yeah I don't even want to think about my high school years, and I am so with you about new neighbours as the new ones we have are annoying
DeleteI have mostly been a change resister. I have to be dragged in to the new but once there I adjust and make peace, and often I end up enjoying it. I have grown most in seasons of change I think. Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYeah I get that even though we don't like change we have to adjust to it
DeleteIn Geography in 1963 we learned places in order, according to their initials eg HOMES are the five Great Lakes between Canada and USA.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool I remember bugga from my school years
DeleteBig changes for me this coming year. Looking forward to when it is done and dusted...but the process--awk! Moving wears me down completely. Last time was over a decade ago and I was shot for a month or two. Going to be harder this time than it was last time. But it will all be worth it when it is accomplished. :)
ReplyDeleteYes you are in for a big change this year
DeleteYou and I are exact the same on change.
ReplyDeleteCool
DeleteChange can be good and bad at the same time, Jo-Anne. I love my routines, but sometimes they get interrupted by things I can't help or control. When I think of God being in control, not me, then it becomes so much easier to "roll with the punches." Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI don't like change either. I thought it was a bit of both too! I know nothing about those biscuits.
