September Hodgepodge

Hi everyone, here is the latest hodgepodge

http://www.fromthissideofthepond.com/2026/08/hodgepodge-questions-volume-673.html

From this Side of the Pond

1. When you think of autumn what sounds come to mind?

Birds of course but then I have birds around my home all year round

2.  Is a trip to the mountains something you enjoy? What's your favorite mountain?

I don’t go on trips to mountains

3. What's something that once felt like a mountain, but is now just a molehill?

Learning how to be a mother

4. Let's play this or that-fall foods edition. Yes you have to choose.

  • pumpkin spice latte or chai latte Neither
  • apple cider or hot chocolate  Hot chocolate
  • stew or chili Stew
  • sweet potato casserole or green bean casserole Sweet Potato
  • butternut squash soup or creamy mushroom soup Don’t like either
  • cranberry sauce or gravy Gravy

5. Sum up your September in a sentence or two.

Celebrating and remembering my wedding

6. Insert your own random thought here.

“Look up and you’ll see the sky.
Look down and you’ll see the ground.
Look for anger, you’ll find it.
Look for joy, there it is.
Look for fear, find it staring back at you.
Look for hope, and feel its warm embrace.
You decide where to look.
Where are you going to look today?”

  1. Learning how to navigate motherhood definitely feels like tackling Everest at first until routine finally takes over. Celebrating your wedding anniversary in September makes the entire month feel so meaningful and cozy.

  2. That's a good one, Jo-Anne. The navigating motherhood when you're young and basically dumb. At least I was. It was on the job training at its best!

  3. Navigating motherhood is ongoing. New seasons mean new challenges, but new joys too. I like your random thought a lot. Happy anniversary!
