Tuesday 4 living here

Welcome back to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4, who can be found here: https://lemonscottage.blogspot.com/

Sometimes we lie in the same place where we were born and remain there all of our lives.

Sometimes we move away and never come back because of jobs, marriage, circumstances of all kinds.

Sometimes we choose where we will live and we have definite reasons for staying there even though we might be far from family.

Are you far from family and if so why? Would you like to have them closer and have you discussed that with them?

Nope I am not I have a daughter who lives 30minutes from me but that’s not far and my other two daughters live a stone’s throw from me, we like living close to each other.

How did you come to live in the state you are in? How about the city/town.

I was born here; I grew up in a suburb 10 minutes from where I live

What good things keep you living where you are?

I am comfortable here and my family are close by and that’s how I like it.

What's good about your state and town?

I don’t know it is just what I am used to

What things might convince you to move to another state or just another town?

Maybe if my daughter’s move to another state I would consider following them  but no way I want to move to  a different town, I am really happy here

  1. I’m staying put! California is my home and I’d be like a fish out of water living in another state.

  2. Nice topic. I have now been in Bengaluru (south India) for 26 years. It's my seventh city; the place where I have stayed the longest. What kept moving from one city to another is new career opportunities and also a desire to see new places.

  3. I grew up in the Twin Cities in Minnesota (Minneapolis suburb) and lived mostly around in the N and NW suburbs. Also lived in Wisconsin for 7 years. Moved up north to Moorhead, Minnesota from Minneapolis in 1999 to go to college and Dagan came with me. Most of my family was still down in the Twin Cities (250+ miles away). Only moved across the river to Fargo, North Dakota because of becoming disabled and could get into a low-income housing complex over here. Been in ND now for 20 years! My how time flies! I only started blogging to keep in touch with all the family that was quite far away and my health was too bad to drive that far anymore. But I shall always be a Minnesotan at heart! :)

    1. I know many people move for education, work and housing, I think as long as some one is happy with where they live then all is on the better side

  5. Very straightforward. I don't think I would move now either except for family reasons.

  6. I liked your answers and that you enjoy being nearby your girls. We are all close, only our youngest girl and her husband and little boy live in upstate NY. One sibling is an hour away and two are 2 hours away. My husband has a sister an hour away and a brother in another state. We love our home grown state we both grew in Colorado. Lots going we dislike but there is no place like home. Have awonderful weekend.

    1. In every country there will be things happening that not everyone will agree with or like that's just how life is and as you said there is no place like home, thanks for dropping by
