A Curious Hodgepodge

Here I am doing another hodgepodge which is brought to you by Joyce over at http://www.fromthissideofthepond.com/

Here are this week’s questions.

What's something you're curious about right now?

Well as I sit here and ponder these questions, I find myself curious as to how someone comes up with these questions. Also, kinda curious as to why whenever I go to record a voice message, I find myself yawning over and over.

If you could plan the perfect girl's weekend getaway, where would you go and what would be on the agenda? Do you have anything like this on your calendar in the next few months?

We would go on a cruise for a week where we have nothing to do but lay around drinking cocktails and chilling

What's the most unique item in your refrigerator right now?

Just the usual stuff, cheese, milk, eggs, scones, butter, ham, jam, Pepsi Max, fruit, bread and other stuff.

In this season of your life, what do you find most challenging?

Not falling over, I am often unsteady on my feet and have problems with balance.

Do you collect anything? If so, why that?

When I was younger, I collect photos of actors and actresses and postcards from places visited. Now all I collect is memories.

Insert your own random thought here.

Remember we all have times when we feel sad for no known reason, but if it continues day after day, see a doctor and get help as you may be suffering from depression and need some form of treatment.

  1. Funny about leaving a message and then yawning. I don’t like to leave messages on a phone. I’d rather text them.

    1. I often send a recorded message instead of a text message as it is often easier for me especially if I have a bit to say

  2. I can so identify with the fear of not falling over, Jo Anne, as I had many struggles after my bout with pneumonia in 2022. Only the brave and determined can reach old age - LOL! Blessings!

    1. That is so true, although I don't think of myself as old but I do have a disease that can affect balance

  3. I feel like I yawn a lot too. I don't know if it's because when I make a call I've finally paused for a moment and the tiredness I feel catches up with me. A relaxing trip with friends sounds like fun to me. Have a great day!

  4. Years ago I collected angels for a couple of decades. The past 15+ years it has been fountain pens. And in the past year it has been shower curtains! Funny because since I left home I only had two different shower curtains, Only two because the first one wore out--lol! My collections bring me joy--even if I don't have many of the angel stuff left...I kept the ones I liked the best and they still make me smile.

  5. Joyce is pretty good at it. Sorry about the yawning. That cruise sounds perfect. Praying you can stay safe and not fall over. ((Hugs)) That's interesting about Actors and Actresses. True, your random is correct and I need to do that. Take care.

  6. A cruise with friends sounds like a wonderful getaway. So funny about the yawning. I dislike leaving voicemail messages, and don't like talking on the phone much so I would much rather communicate by text message or email whenever possible. Hope you're having a great week!

    1. I also don't like talking on the phone or leaving a voicemail but I have gotten used to sending voice message instead of text when I am struggling to type out a message
