A Busy Hodgepodge

Here I am doing another hodgepodge which is brought to you by Joyce over at http://www.fromthissideofthepond.com/

Here are this week’s questions.

May 20th is World Bee Day...what's something that's kept you 'busy as a bee' lately?

Nothing the way my life is at right nothing keeps me busy

Do you like honey? What's something you make or enjoy that calls for honey?

I love honey I prefer creamed honey on crumpets or toast

"Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body." Proverbs 16:24

What's a proverb you love, or one that speaks to you or has helped you in some way?

I am not familiar with proverbs

The Bible is full of Proverbs, a whole book in fact, if that helps with your answer. The word proverb is defined as 'a short pithy saying in general use, stating a general truth or piece of advice'

Tell us about a 'sweet' moment in your life recently that filled you with joy, gratitude, or peace.

The things that filled me with joy are the times when my grandson Blain comes down for some little thing and ends up staying for 20mins just talking to me. As up till a couple of months ago I was lucky to see him for a couple of minutes once in a while.

When you were a child, what did you want to 'be' when you grew up? How close did you come to that?

When I was a child, I had no idea what I wanted to be at some point I decided I just wanted to be a mum, and that’s what I am.

Insert your own random thought here.

Take some time to rest and recover. You don’t always have to be so busy, pushing yourself so hard. Step back and take care of yourself. Those moments of self-care will add value, energy, purpose, and creativity to everything you do. Find a healthy balance and enjoy your life.”

“Appreciate and savour the small, everyday moments that bring happiness. The simple pleasures in life can provide great joy and fulfillment. Embracing these moments enriches your overall experience.”

  3. Cool that Blain stays to talk, it always means a lot. I love my grandkids having to tell me what they're excited about, even if it's not all that interesting to me.

    1. Yes doesn't matter if I have no interest in the video games Sam plays I still listen and comment about them when she tells me about them

  4. I really enjoyed reading your reflections—there’s something so grounding about finding joy in those simple, sweet moments like your grandson stopping to chat. It’s a gentle reminder that life’s richness often comes in small, quiet ways. Your thoughts on rest and balance are wise, too; we all need that pause to keep moving forward with strength.

  5. That's a great random thought and yes it must be good connecting with your grandson - not always easy when they're older and more independant.
