Hi everyone, here is
the latest hodgepodge
http://www.fromthissideofthepond.com/2026/02/hodgepodge-questions-volume-660.html
1. What do you love
most about your country?
I feel
that over all things are done right and people are generally treated with
respect
2. Your favorite
patriotic song?
The
first song that came to mind was “We are Australian”
3. Red, white, or
blue? Stars or stripes? Something you own besides a US flag with some
combination of those colours or decorations as part of its design?
I don’t
have anything, but I am an Aussie
4. What's one thing
you want more of this summer: fun, rest, adventure, connection, quiet, or
confidence? Elaborate.
Time
spent with family followed by time spent alone
5. What was your
ultimate, go-to summer activity when you were a kid? Do you still do any
version of that today? If you answered yes, does participating in this activity
as an adult make you feel like a kid?
Can’t
think of anything, as a child I spent most of my time either outside playing or
sitting and reading a book.
6. Insert your own
random thought here.
There
is a quiet kind of happiness found in time spent with family. It lives in the
familiar voices around the table, the shared laughter over small memories, and
the comfort of being with people who know your story.

What's one thing I want more of this summer. As soon as the summer is warm enough for swimming, I want to take the grandchildren to our closest beach.
ReplyDeleteFirst we will have lunch in a beachside cafe, then I want to check their swimming standards, eat ice cream and check the penguins in their pool.
That sounds great
DeleteI agree with your answer for #1. I don't know that song but it sounds like a good one. Yes, time spent with family is awesome and being alone can be nice too. Good for you reading as a kid. Nice random answer. Take Care.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I have always loved reading
