Hi everyone I am
taking part in sharing my world again here are this week’s questions and
answers, which I found here: https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2026/06/15/sharing-my-world-15th-june-2026/
Here are this week’s questions:
1. When buying a new home appliance, are you offered optional insurance cover (for additional cost) and if so do you take
it?
Here is Australia we get offered an extended
warranty and sometimes Tim & I have taken it but generally not.
2. When purchasing something for the home, like a new TV, freezer, cooker, carpets, etc, do you pay outright or take terms?
Now days we pay outright, when we were younger we would
get it on an interest free loan, which we always paid off within the interest
free term.
3. What is the worst purchase for the home you can remember?
I have no idea, Tim would say the solar panels but
I don’t agree.
4. For your family room/lounge, do you prefer couches, easy chairs, recliners or a mixture of seating arrangements.
I
prefer a recliner Tim prefers a lounge or what some call a couch.
Gratitude: Courtesy of Cheryl this week.

Your strategy for paying outright now but utilizing those interest-free terms back in the day is exactly how so many people successfully built up their homes when starting out. Also, the classic couch versus recliner debate is a total staple for any living room setup, but having a mixture means everyone gets their ultimate comfort zone at the end of the day. Thank you for sharing a little peek into your world, it is always a pleasure reading your weekly wrap-ups!
