Pen-Pals, I have been writing to
pen pals since I was 14, no I don’t
still write to the same person but have had many pen-pals over the years, there
is one woman I have been writing to for around 38 years.
I used to have pen pals, too - from all over the US and I did write back and forth for years to a cute guy in Germany all through high school. He was starting to have feelings for me, which freaked me out and was wanting to come to the US to meet me. I wasn't up for that so I stopped writing him. Now I look back and can't understand why I was so fearful. Oh well and feel bad that I hurt him. Oh well - chalk it up to youth.

I have around 20 something pen pals I write to and I do enjoy doing so
