Hodgepodge before I forget

Spring has officially sprung (in the northern hemisphere anyway) ...did she roll in more like a lion or more like a lamb in your neck of the woods? What needs more of your attention in terms of a good spring clean this year-your house or your garden/yard?

Since I am in the southern hemisphere, I will cast my mind back to last spring, ok she was nothing like a lion or a lamb but more like a snowball rolling down a mountain getting bigger and bigger till it hit something hot and exploded into rain which was followed by heat.

What's put a spring in your step lately?

This is easier ants on the ground, they will have me bouncing around like I have springs attached to my feet, oh not what you meant, sorry but that’s were my brain went.

When you were a kid, what was the best snack to find in your lunchbox? If you didn't do the lunchbox thing, tell us what was your favourite after school snack.

Whether in my lunch box or atter school the answer is the same, a slice of mum’s homemade caramel slice.

In what area of your life are you planting seeds?

Tim plants seeds in his garden to grow food stuff, me I plant seeds in the minds and hearts of my grandchildren to grow kindness, compassion and empathy.

Why do you live where you do? Would you consider living somewhere else? Why or why not?

We moved here because this the place offered to us, we rent through the government, no I would not consider living anywhere else, I am happy here, been here 37yrs in May, also now have two of my daughters living in the same complex.

Insert your own random thought here.

Remember when life is struggle and you feel like you are failing at everything you try to do, you need to stop clear your mind of those negative thoughts and remind yourself, that our failures can be a chance to learn something, or it can  mean you are worn out to the extent that you  are unable to function right and you  may need some time to try and step away from stressful stuff and allow your mind and body to rejuvenate.

  1. I definitely think grandparents plant seeds in ways that are different than what parents offer. It's a joy for sure! We generally go from cold to hot here too, but we seem to be having an actual spring this year. Have a great day!

  3. Spring was unusually lamb-like. Everything needs attention, sadly.

I am feeling better after four years of misery. I almost have a spring in my step!

I actually don't remember if I had a favorite snack.

I don't have grandchildren. I would need to think about this.

We moved here 31 years ago. I had 3 horses and wanted to have them at home with me. We chose here because of the close proximity to Mark's office and to the city.

Your thought would echo mine, as we are living in a stressful time. Leaving that behind for awhile is necessary.

    1. Four years of misery would be horrible, it is good when we are happy where we live, I am pleased you liked my thought

  4. I love your comment about planting seeds with your grandchildren. Sometimes it's easier for grandparents to do that then parents.
